Apa itu drone ?

Di dalam konteks teknologi drone merupakan pesawat tanpa pemandu. Drone adalah lebih secara rasmi dikenali sebagai unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) ataupun kenderaan udara tanpa pemandu. Pada asasnya, drone adalah robot terbang. Legal requirement : Anda tidak perlu lesen untuk menggunakan drone tetapi untuk FAA ia ada rules yang patut anda patuh.  Dua perkara yang paling penting ialah jangan sesekali menerbangkan drone di kawasan umum dan sentiasa memerhati drone anda dari jauh. FAA ada senarai penuh panduan keselamatan untuk aircraft model yang anda patut semak terlebih dahulu. Antara larangan semasa penerbangan ialah sebagai contoh, drone tersebut tidak boleh terbang sekitar lima batu dari kawasan lapangan terbang.

Drone control : Kebanyakan drone mengunakan remote control dengan dua joystick yang seakan akan alat kawalan Xbox dan Playstation. Stick pertama untuk mengawal attitude quadcopter termasuk mengawal pergerakan kiri dan kanan dan mengawal ketinggian atas dan bawah. Stick yang kedua pula ialah untuk mengawal throttle dan rotation quadcopter itu. Remote control yang baik ialah yang boleh mengawal dengan baik ketika berada dalam tangan kita dan stick yang dapat memberi rasa selesa pada jari penggunanya dengan memberi rasa smooth dan responsive yang membolehkan anda mengawal drone dengan baik. Kamera : Selalunya kamera digunakan untuk meninjau keadaan di udara dan ada sesetengah menggunakan kamera pada drone untuk mengambil gambar dari bahagian udara. Kamera sama ada kamera built-in mahupun kamera yang diletakkan pada drone, boleh mengambil moment dramatic anda. Kebanyakan model drone yang dalam lingkungan bajet menggunakan kamera yang sama seperti kamera webcam murah dengan low-resolution video ( 640 x 480 pixel ) yang disimpan dalam internal memori. • Coming this fall for $129, the Parrot MiniDrone Airborne Night quadcopter will be your light in the darkness, literally. This 1.2-pound craft can reach 11 mph for about 9 minutes. It features two LED lights that can be adjusted to various levels of intensity, or set to flashing patterns. The police-themed version, named Mac Lane, could be particularly fun in freaking out your neighbors at night. A three-axis accelerometer, three-axis gyroscope and ultrasound senor all help keep the drone stable in the air. Plus, a miniature camera on the underbelly makes aerial selfies a reality.

Designed for freshwater or fresh air, the Parrot MiniDrone Hydrofoil features a detachable miniature quadcopter. When the drone's four propeller blades are on, a plastic flap flips up to send the HydroFoil hovering across the water at up to 6 mph for about 7 minutes. Detach the mini copter, and the 1.2-pound drone can fly at up to 11 mph for about 20 minutes, using the companion Parrot app. Just don't dunk it, as the copter is water resistant but not waterproof. It will be available this fall for $179.

• DJI Phantom 3 standard

The newly released DJI Phantom 3 Standard improves on the video capabilities of the Phantom 2 Vision+ while also knocking a little bit off the price tag. Like the Vision 2+, Phantom 3 Standard shoots 1080p video at 30 fps and 720p at 60 fps, but it can also capture 2.7K HD video at 30 fps. (Still images are captured with a 12-megapixel camera, compared to the Vision+’s 14-MP camera.) DJI updated the Vision+ controller for the Phantom 3 Standard, adding an integrated Wi-Fi range extender and wheel for angling the camera. Although DJI is targeting beginners with this latest drone, the Standard will be compatible with features found in other Phantom 3 drones. These include the Follow Me feature, where the drone will trail after the user, and waypoint navigation for setting multipoint routes.
